I’ve been gaming since N64 and as a kid I had an arcade set up of the dinosaur fighter “Primal Rage” in my garage. But characters in games didn’t become a visible career path until I was in high school and listened to Brian Cox deliver a speech as Scolar Visari in PS2’s Killzone (2004).

Now games are more advanced and nuanced where characters need to be believable and authentic akin to a short dramatic series. Genuine performances must be considered whether playing a heightened or more grounded character. My experience with over 3,000 clients, hours and hours of coaching and highly reviewed knack for finding characters, I’ve developed a fun stash of techniques to pull from depending on the project

What’s essential for gaming is the ability to perform as multiple, distinguishable characters at the drop of a hat. And some NPC rosters need to be filled that will make the world more real and lived-in.

Some sessions are longer, so stamina and vocal care are needed when effort sounds, warcries, or other grunts are required.

Having worked live with AAA studios, a hundred indie studios and coaches of vocal support and regional dialects, I have extensive understanding in the many mechanics of different games, and a vocal performance to back it up. I’m fully prepared to conduct sessions in person or via remote direction, with Source Connect, Zoom or any software of preference.
